What Service is Countrytell Offering?
Countrytell is a not-for-profit internet carrier and licensed commercial operating company (Countrytell Management) implementing many valuable services to you, your family and your business - including the NSW Community Broadband Development Program (CBDP). The CBDP is a program designed to deliver high speed wireless broadband services in regional, rural and remote New South Wales, to communities yet to obtain competitive high speed broadband services from traditional telecommunications providers. Countrytell's carrier activity includes the creation, deployment and operation of the CBDP network that will create easy access and usage of internet resources in order to benefit the local community.
The rapid growth in demand for wireless computing and wireless communications has put pressure on existing networks, negatively affecting their performance. Countrytell delivers a network that is specifically designed to serve the wireless computing market – both fixed and nomadic in your area. Our broadband network will provide the largest Regional 4G WiMAX wireless service in NSW. We offer value points eclipsing competitive wireless offerings and even some fixed-line offerings.

Countrytell offers three access options, delivering high speed broadband using 4G technology to suit you:

What is 4G and why is it better?
It's fast – speed tests conducted using the USB modem in February 2011 revealed a typical download speed of between 3.1Mbps and 6.3Mbps for most of our customers within our Wellington NSW coverage area. Our Premise Gateway has been subject to the same speed testing, with its bigger antenna it is observed to provide equal or better speeds than the USB modem with services tested at 8Mbps to 12Mbps. In other words, it's fast!

What pricing range can consumers expect?
The Countrytell pricing model is conditioned to allow you to subscribe to a User Profile Plan. On your plan you can have multiple devices connected to the Internet at once. You can have a high speed internet connection at home, as well as devices that enable your kids to connect while at home or even at school - all on a single plan.
You can access the Internet via any Countrytell access device, WiMAX, WiFi or Fixed Line service.
